Gareth B: Outdoor First Aid student

I have attended and received a great deal of first aid training through either work or my interest in outdoor pursuits. I can honestly say that the training delivered Richard, Diane and Nic from Evince was the best ever. Firstly, all instructors were hugely knowledgeable as demonstrated in their delivery, real life examples and how they answered our questions. Secondly, they brought with them a huge amount of training kit that we could practice with. There was absolutely no danger of not getting the chance to practice with a piece of kit, right down to (training) EpiPens and military bandages. We were also able to practice inserting an OP airway. Finally, the ratio of instructors to students was excellent meaning we never had to wait for the individual attention of one of the trainers. I left the course feeling very confident that if I was called to apply any of the techniques learned I would be able to do so effectively.

This was very thought-provoking.  There were lots of useful strategies and tips to apply – and when you to apply them.  I really enjoyed the interactive sessions.

The useful strategies are easy to remember and are designed to fit real life.

Really useful, practical advice which is very relevant.  Well delivered and very supportive.

Well run workshops and the interactive scenarios were even more impactive.

Well paced to reflect different learning styles.  Knowledgeable trainers.  Enough time provided to ask questions.  It’s good that learning can continue after the event.

An extremely valuable and insightful day on how to plan and prepare to avoid or defuse conflict

Fantastic day!  Planning a conversation and TED was particularly useful.

Many useful strategies that are easy to remember and to implement

This was a well paced day with different styles from knowledgeable trainers.  The scenarios worked very well.  I liked that there was time to ask questions in particular.

Very interesting, useful and informative.  Lots of clear strategies that I can apply in my role.  It was nice to hear other people’s opinions on how to deal with conflict.  Thanks.

I have enjoyed this training.  It has given me a good basis for making a good relationship with parents and to be able to help them

I liked the acting because it kept me really engaged.  Learning in this way will help me to remember what I have learned.

Interactive.  Funny.  Creative.  Thank You. 🙂

An excellent balance of theory in the morning and putting it into practice in the afternoon.

The morning was educational and gave me lots of strategies.  The afternoon was lots of fun but also an excellent way to learn to deal with conflict.

A very effective day.  I have learned a lot today.  The team were really good today.

The morning was really relevant.  I have learned I need to listen a lot more.  it was good to see how we can work as a team.

The team from Evince provided a bespoke package for all the staff at my school. It was delivered in an informative and enjoyable way, with lots of practical tips that all staff could use in their everyday interactions with stakeholders. Staff left the day feeling empowered and confident to communicate with stakeholders, having explored a number of real life scenarios.

I would recommend that all schools provide this training for all staff as successful communication and conflict management is essential to the happiness and well being of all
